New Balance at JD Sports UAE

New Balance has built its name on getting the details right, and that reputation now stretches from Dubai and Abu Dhabi to Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. JD Sports UAE carries the brand's footwear and apparel for men, women and kids, covering everything from running-first performance shoes to the retro silhouettes that have made New Balance a fixture in everyday wardrobes.

Inside the New Balance Collection

The 990 and 2002R sit at the centre of New Balance's lifestyle appeal, known for dad-shoe-turned-icon styling and a comfort level that holds up through all-day wear. The 574 offers a slightly lower-key, more affordable way into the same retro look. For anyone training or logging distance, the Fresh Foam and FuelCell lines are built specifically for running, with cushioning and energy return tuned to different paces and distances. Apparel rounds things out with joggers, hoodies and training tees designed to pair naturally with the footwear, so building a full look around a single pair of trainers isn't a stretch.

Working Out What Suits You

New Balance rewards a bit of thought before buying rather than picking on looks alone. Anyone after an everyday shoe that goes with almost anything tends to land on the 990 or 2002R, both cut with a roomier, more relaxed fit than most running shoes on the market. Someone training seriously or covering real distance is better served by Fresh Foam or FuelCell, where the priority shifts to how the shoe responds underfoot over a longer run rather than how it looks with jeans. The UAE climate plays a part too: mesh-heavy uppers breathe better through the hotter months, while suede and leather builds like the 574 suit cooler evenings and air-conditioned settings more comfortably. Kids' New Balance sizing runs true, so there's less guesswork needed there than with some other brands. The short version: decide whether the shoe needs to perform or just look good first, and the right line usually follows from that.
